Himalayan Salt

Himalayan Salt is sourced directly from the Himalayan Mountains. Pink Himalayan Salt is known to be far superior to traditional iodized salt as it comes from a million-year-old source and has remained pure and untouched by the pollutants that pervade other forms of ocean salt. It is said to contain the same 84 natural minerals and elements found in the human body. Himalayan salt lamps clean the air around them using a natural water absorption process called hygroscopy. Himalayan salt lamps pull in moisture from the air, absorbing dust particles and pollutants with it. The heated bulb then gently warms the salt, releasing the water, while eliminating the harmful irritants.
An additional benefit of owning a rock salt lamp is the negative ions that are released when heated. These negative ions both clean the air and help reduce the amount of electromagnetic radiation in the area around the lamp. Beware of low-quality salt lamps.
